School Council Hallowe'en Dance

Thank you to the Bayview Fairways School Council for organizing our annual Hallowe'en Dance for our students and families.

The dance was well attended and everyone enjoyed the pizza, music, children's dancing, mummy competition, and the Hallowe'en photo booth.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank those parents who made a donation to the school for this event.

Having Fun In French Class

Students in French class are learning how to write about describing a monster.  They are creating simple sentences in French from a model.  Here is Madame's model of how to describe a monster, just in time for Hallowe'en.

Halloween Celebration on Friday October 30 at Bayview Fairways P.S.

Each year, our students celebrate the long-standing tradition of Halloween.

Students celebrating this occasion in costume at our school must comply with the Safe School’s policy. Costume accessories including, but not limited to:

  • toy guns, knives, axes, swords, daggers, axes, any replica weapon

are not in compliance with York Region District School Board’s Safe Schools Policy #668.0. All costume accessories of this nature CANNOT be brought to school.  Please ensure that these items remain at home.  The same policy also extends to the School Council Hallowe’en Dance on Thursday October 29.

Please note that this policy applies to all students at all levels, including Kindergarten.

In addition, NO food will be allowed in to the school for Halloween for sharing.  Please ensure that all candies and baked goods remain at home.  Candy is NOT to be handed out in any classroom. Any food that is brought in for classrooms will be returned to parents unopened.  We want to ensure that our students with life threatening allergies remain safe at school.  As a general reminder, ALWAYS check ingredients of packaged products for your child’s snacks and lunches to ensure that the label does not say, “May contain peanuts”.

Thank you for your understanding.

We look forward to having a safe and enjoyable Halloween.
